#Blendappetit - A Blender And A Master Chef

So, a week ago, I went to this fabulous workshop by Ansoo Gupta, who shares the most valuable insights on travel, and came back super elated, because I met some of my favorite people there. The husband suggested that we go to the huge mall next door for a quick bite. Once there, I check my phone, and the world is smiling at me. There is a message from KitchenAid India announcing that I am the winner of their Blendappetit Contest, and are now on my way to becoming the proud owner of their Cordless Hand Blender. Wait! It gets better. I get to meet the Master Chef Vikas Khanna, as he launches his latest book, "Hymns From The Soil", in association with KitchenAid. So, double win, right? And now, I have a summer full of fabulous blends to create.

This cordless baby is a piece of art. You had to see it in action. It's magical. Crushes ice cubes in a matter of seconds. Super strong body. Sleek design. Space age looks. Endless utility options. Blends, purees, chops, and makes your friends burn in envy. For someone who is as gadget happy as your truly, this dude is the best gift I could have asked for from life. I am compiling plans for all the new recipes I intend to try once I have the blender with me, which I hope will be soon enough.

Also loved the unique synergy KitchenAid India created through their association with the launch of Chef Vikas Khanna's new book. Heavy as a dumbbell, and full of heartwarming anecdotes and vegetarian recipes, the book is definitely his best one so far. Simple recipes that can be made in any Indian kitchen, and that I intend to start trying one by one, accompanied with utterly delightful photographs! It's now propped up on my kitchen reading stand. You will soon be seeing some of my favorite recipes from the book on the blog. Oh, and before I sign off, here is the picture that got me the blender; a simple mango tart, made from scratch at home.
